Grand Opening Marks a New Era for MGI

 

          MGI, or Miss Grand International Public Company Limited, as the exclusive license holder for the Miss Universe Thailand (MUT) pageant, recently hosted the “Miss Universe Thailand 2025: Open To The Universe” Welcome Ceremony & Press Conference. Held at MGI Hall, Bravo BKK, Rama 9, the event officially introduced the 77 contestants from across Thailand.

The event was led by Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, President of the Miss Universe Thailand pageant and Vice President of Miss Universe Asiana. The 77 contestants made a stunning debut in a fashion show featuring traditional Thai costumes and evening gowns crafted from local Thai textiles. Each of the 77 unique designs showcased the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of Thailand

          A highlight of the evening was the official unveiling of the Miss Universe Thailand 2025 crown. The atmosphere was electrifying, particularly with the special appearance of Natalie Glebova, Miss Universe 2005, who presented the crown.

The Miss Universe Thailand 2025: The New Era pageant is focused on finding a representative who embodies the 4B principles: Beauty, Body, Brain, and Business. This individual will represent Thailand at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, which Thailand is proud to host later this year. The goal is to elevate Thailand’s global standing and to find a true role model who can inspire society.

Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil stated, “This year marks the beginning of a new chapter for Miss Universe Thailand 2025. The pageant is committed to empowering our contestants and promoting Thai heritage. We are also actively working to support the effort to have ‘Thai traditional costumes’ registered as a UNESCO World Heritage.”

The key events of the pageant are scheduled as follows:

  • August 9-16, 2025: Contestants’ camp in Phuket province

  • August 18, 2025: National Costume Competition

  • August 20, 2025: Preliminary Competition

  • August 23, 2025: Final Competition at MGI Hall, Bravo BKK, Rama 9
